When in search of reciprocity within the context of Achmea Insurance, the idea for the Empathy Exercise arose, a tool to gain insight into the emotional layer of human interactions.

While researching the origins of insurance and philosophizing about the function of it on a societal, psychological and practical level, it became clear to me that the search of reciprocity was an important one. And not only for a company like Achmea, but for all relations we acquire in both our professional and private lives.

Last week I delivered two clocks to their rightful owners. The eldest one -here on picture- is the first of its kind and it ran into quite some errors through time (😝 lame word joke, I know) But because of the flaws that came up in this one, I've been able to create the second one in a much smarter and more durable way (and I've upgraded this one of course .) .
I definitely underestimated the development of a mechanical work like this, but besides that I enjoyed working on it (most of the time .) I learned such a tremendous lot about so many things, that I can't wait to apply this new found skills and knowledge to new works! ^^

A big thanks to the two very patient clients, @hotelnothotel and Teun, who were okay with me developing On Time Not On Time in their time!!

Ran into the first project I worked on straight after graduation at Hotel Not Hotel in Amsterdam last week. I remember being so nervous about having miscalculated the angle of the roof, that I hardly slept the night before installation. Gladfully it turned out perfectly straight and fun to climb ^^ ..Learned a lot since than! .
