The Sekkai tables are formed from a single sheet of brushed stainless steel. Cut, perforated, and folded by hand using a precise sequence derived from Japanese kirigai. Each piece transforms flat material into structure, combining technical clarity with a calm, tactile presence.
Every table reflects its surroundings in soft gradients of light. The material remains honest - no coating, no hidden seams - allowing the surface to age and record its use naturally.
Sekkai Shy, the smallest and most delicate. Compact yet complete, it captures the essence of the series in its simplest form.
Sekkai Modest, balanced in scale and proportion. It sits at the heart of the family, quietly assertive and adaptable.
Sekkai Brave, the largest expression. Broad, open planes give weight and confidence while preserving the same measured restraint.
Each version is available as a finished piece, handcrafted in the Studio of Kim Haagen. The Shy and Modest are also available as flat fold-it-yourself editions with custom tools and detailed instructions - inviting you to take part in the making.
